Ahead of the entry of the Kerala Strikers, comprising Malayalam actors, into the Celebrity Cricket League, the theme song, music video and website of the team has been launched here.

Indian cricketer S Sreesanth handed over the CD to Malayalam actor Prithviraj at a function here yesterday to mark the launching of the video. The website was launched by veteran actor-producer Thyagarajan.

Sreesanth said such a cricket league, which brings together film actors from various parts of the country, provided opportunity to the stars to get to know their counterparts from different film industries closely.

This is just like the IPL cricket matches in which players from various countries form a team, thus helping build friendships. In the last season, he had supported the Bangalore team, he said.

Prithviraj said the team cannot be taken lightly. Getting all the actors together, despite their hectic schedules, was by no means a small effort, he said.

Team captain and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal was not present.

Arun G S, lead guitarist with AR Rahman's team, has composed the theme song featuring Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Kunchacko Boban, Lakshmi Rai, Bhavana, among others.

The first match is slated to be held at Hyderabad on January 21 and the first home match would be held here on January 22 against the Bollywood team. The finals are scheduled on February 12 at Hyderabad.

Team owners Lissy Priyadarshan and Shaji P M were among those present.

The Celebrity Cricket League season II starts on 13th February at Sharjah. The inaugural match will be played between Telugu Warriors and Mumbai Rhinos. The teams from Karnataka,Kerala, Tamil Nadu are joining for the inaugural meet it is learnt.

The CCL Karnataka team headed by Kichcha Sudeep as captain for 'Karnataka Bulldozers' owned by Ashok Kheney has already kicked up a row with CCL calendar. The two heroines of Kannada cinema Aindrita Ray and Nidhi Subbaiah appearing in 'Bikini' has received some brickbats.

It is actress Ragini who condemned her colleagues appearing in bikini. when all the other 10 artists have not appeared in Bikini why only our colleagues was the concern expressed by Ragini.

Both Aindrita Ray and Nidhi Subbaiah are the CCL ambasaddors from Kannada cinema. After the second match at Sharjah the 'Girls of CCL-2' will have further glitz and glamour.

This time Sudeep announced that Darshan box office colleag will be playing the CCL match. The chances of Shivarajakumar playing in team is doubtful says the sources.
